MIA Met with Tigris Symposium Participants on an International Platform
TPID 6th International Symposium held at Diyarbakır Dicle University Congress Center between 2-4 November 2018 hosted local and foreign dentists. At the symposium, which was held with intense participation, Mode Implant Academy guest speaker Ass. Prof. Dr. PhD Kiro Papakoca informed the participating dentists with the topic "Prosthetic Technical Complications in Dental Implantology". In his presentation, Ass. Prof. Dr. Kiro Papakoca aimed to reveal the frequency and types of technical complications associated with implant-supported complete dental fixed prostheses. Prof. Dr. PhD Kiro Papakoca shared his knowledge and experience.

"The most common complications that occur during treatments with dental implants are mechanical. Prosthetic conditions were determined by clinical analysis and radiographic examination. The design features of implants, abutments and prostheses, the materials used and biomechanical issues have a significant impact on the results of these prostheses. Immediately following the initial technique and biological complications after implant placement, fixed complete dentures for our edentulous patients occur consistently over time as a result of fatigue and stress. The most frequent implant-prosthesis complications reported were screw fractures or hypertrophy - tissue hyperplasia. The combination of implant-bone anchorage, attachment of prosthetic components with screws and the dynamics involved result in a complex load with frequent loosening and fracture of components of implant-supported prostheses. These events can lead to implant prosthesis failure.

In addition, experts in their fields made presentations on topics such as "Surgical or Non-Surgical Treatment - Which is More Functional?", "Guided Bone Regeneration: A New Concept: 3d GBR Technique" and "The Effect of Prosthesis Use on Cognitive Functions in the Elderly" and brought important issues of dentistry science to the agenda.

At the Tigris Symposium, which brought together veteran professors and young colleagues, the interest in MIA scientific publications was quite intense. During this program, which aims to instill awareness in new generations, conferences, workshops, oral poster presentations, presentations and technological developments in the field of prosthodontics and implantology were followed.
